And I'm Off!

Over the past few weeks, I've been exploring all the different teacher blogs that exist and..wow! There's so many great ideas and inspiring teachers out there! I became officially addicted to blog hopping. I was so excited to start the new year with new ideas for my classroom.

Then Hurricane Irene came along...

I feel truly lucky to be one of the only people I know who didn't lose power/trees/etc. As a result, I've been sharing my internet, electricity, shower, and warm meals with friends and family who have been without power for four days now.

I have also earned a whole extra week of summer vacation! We were supposed to start this past Monday but due to extreme power outages in RI, we aren't starting until next Tuesday. Interesting beginning to our year! In my spare time, I've decided to start my own blog to share my own ideas.
