Currently...September

I'm still alive - I promise!  Back to School was a busy one this year.  I have switched grades and am now a 5th grade teacher!  Along with switching grades, I also switched classrooms.   Without exaggeration, my new classroom is the furthest classroom from my old one.  Seriously, 3 flights of stairs and the entire length of the building.  And I have a lot of stuff!  Thank goodness for best friends and husbands!

Speaking of a new grade, my new blog is almost done (I think!).  It's taking a little longer than I thought,  but if you want a sneak preview, go check it out!

Once, my new blog is all set, I will be posting pictures of my classroom as well as pictures from the first week.  I can't wait to share!

Now it is time for this month's Currently from Farley!

Fall is my absolute favorite season.  I love the smells, sights and back to school of course!  I am also super excited to be teaching 5th grade.  I have so many ideas and can't wait to implement them!  I am definitely looking for your help though too.  What are some awesome activities to do with 5th graders??

The last box is for loving yourself.  I really need to make sure I am eating healthy.  I think going back to a regular routine (and not as many bbq's) will help!  Cooking dinner is something I really want to focus on as well.  I love to eat out and hate to cook.  But I need to save money and eat healthy!

Currently It's August {Already?!}

This may or may not be my second post in one day (shhh...).  It's the beginning of the month so I have to link up with Farley's Currently!

Listening: I love listening to The Today Show in the summer!  I think it's because it is a luxury I don't get during the school year.  I feel so up to date on the news!

Loving: I wrote my first post on Ron Clark's book,  The End of Molasses Classes yesterday and posted about it on my fan facebook page.  Well, he saw it and he reposted it on his page!!  Yes!  That's me on his facebook page!  I am starstruck!

P.S. ~ I'm also loving this month's Currently - it's so cute and my favorite so far!

Thinking: There are some huge changes coming to my blog soon!!  I am super-duper excited to share them with you.  There may be some cool prizes involved!

Wanting: I love, love being on vacation but I miss my sweet little puppy!

Needing: To start planning out my school year.  Maybe I'll get to it when I get home from vacation!

1. I think I am going to try out this Facebook page for the beginning of the year this year.  It's from Teaches Third In Georgia.

2. My 31 Bag.  I love this thing!  It is perfect size and oh-so-cute!

3. A good lunchbox.  I don't have a picture of this because I don't have one yet!  I need a cute lunchbox - any idea of where I could get a good one??  Help!

Hello July!

It's my favorite month of the year!  It's time to link up with Farley for her Currently.

Listening... to the Today Show.  I love early morning blogging and catching up on national and international news.  I don't ever watch television in the morning during the school year because I would never be ready on time!

Loving... summer!  The best season of the year in my opinion.

Thinking... about the firefighters in Arizona.  Such a devastating tragedy.  Thinking about their families as well.

Wanting... nice weather!  It's been rainy, cloudy and humid around here for the past week.  I'm ready for some sun so I can go to the beach!

Needing... to hit the gym.  I'm going as soon as this post is finished!  The best part about summer is all the extra time to workout.

Tips... read and discover.  When I first started blogging, I had NO clue what I was doing.  I would see the experts and think, how do they do that??  So I did my own research.  I read as many blogs as I could!  The cool thing about many bloggers is that they are super helpful and offer so many tutorials on their blog pages.  Click here to check out my collection of them!

June Currently

Well, hello there June!  It's so very, very nice to see you.  Of course that means it's time for Farley's Currently!  I missed last month's, but I'm back!

Listening:  We went from 60 degree weather here in RI right to mid-90 degree weather.  Let's just say the AC is now in and the fans are on!  Thankfully it will drop back down into the 70s this week.

Loving: So glad it is finally June.  May was a fun, but busy month.  Between graduations, graduation parties, bachelorettes, weddings, birthdays and Mother's Day, I am exhausted!

Thinking; That then leads to  my need to get stuff done, but my sheer exhaustion.  I think it's a combination of a busy month, bad allergy season and the end of the school year.  I am wiped out!

Wanting: I am looking forward to next year, but I am not sure what it will bring, so the planning can't start quite yet.

Needing: Once I get to the gym, I'll really enjoy it.  It's getting up out of my chair that is the difficult task.

3 Vacay Essentials:

1. Flip Flops!  I love my plain and simple reef sandals.  They are super comfy and I wear them everywhere.

2. Sunglasses!  I don't know why, but my favorite part of summer is getting to wear my sunglasses.  Maybe because it means that the sun is shining and it is a beautiful day?  Could be.

3.  A good book!  I don't read much during the school year.  Mainly because I get so wrapped up in a story that I forget to go to sleep.  And then the next day, well, it's not so good.  So I read a ton during the summer.  First up is rereading The Great Gatsby.  Then I'll watch the movie when it comes out on DVD.  I'd rather pay the $1.00 Redbox fee for the DVD than spend $30 to go to the movies.  Ridiculous.

Currently...

It's April?!?  Yay!!  So excited for the weather to get nicer!

As for April Fool's Day...I don't like it.  Not into it.  But my kids didn't try a thing!  I was so surprised.  Usually I get at least 15 "your shoe is untied" or "there's a spider on your back" but nothing!  Huh.  Baffled.  I did give them a word search with none of the words in it.  I'm not sure they appreciated it.

Well it's that time...

My advice for blogging/TpT?  Love what you do and everyone else will see it!  The more you love to write on your blog and create items for TpT, the better your products will be.  Are there times that I feel as though I'm dragging?  Definitely!  So I take a break.  Then I come back refreshed!

Happy New Year's Eve!

I'm not going to lie.  New Year's Eve is my least favorite holiday.  I seriously need my sleep people!  I don't know how some of you do it.  I need a full eight hours or watch out!  I wasn't allowed to go to sleepovers as a little girl because I was so miserable for days afterwards.  So tonight, the hubs made me dinner, we are going to curl up on the couch and probably fall asleep before the ball drops.  I'm okay with that!

Listening...my husband built himself a computer for Christmas and the thing is so dang loud.  And, yes, he is a total computer geek.  And, yes, he knows it!

Loving...Did I mention that I need my sleep?  Staying in for New Year's - whoohoo!  Does this mean I'm getting old??

Thinking...it just got cold in RI.  Like, real cold.  I didn't like the 40 degree weather.  The 15 degree weather is worse!  Trying to convince the hubs to move South.  It is not working so far.

Wanting...um, do I need to explain this one?  Christmas vacation goes by so fast!

Needing...a nice warm bath.  My brother ordered me a bath pillow, bath salts and a tub caddy for Christmas.  They haven't come in yet and I can't wait till they do!

OLW...Focus.  I am trying to expand my blog through social media, but I have to learn to focus on one at a time.  I am so all over the place right now!
