Your library center looks amazing. I purchased my book bins from the dollar store. I'm still organizing all my books (DRA level, genre, etc.). Thank you for sharing. Amy akenyon@bgcs.k12.oh.us
Wow- you have a ton of books, but they are all so organized! Way to go! Do they stay that way all year?? Ya know, once your kiddos start diving into them :) Becky Teaching, learning, & Loving
Your library looks amazing! Pretty sure it would take up at least half of my classroom! I've got an itty bitty shelf crammed full of books sorted by AR level. Definitely wish I had more room to sort by genres. Love the Beth Newingham's stuff as well!
WOW! It looks SO good! I WISH I had that much room, books, AND organization.:) I'm always running out of books or my students don't take care of them. :( I love your library though!
I would love to see a closer up view of your picture for where students go each day. When you get back from your vacation (hope you're having a WONDERFUL time), I would love if you could take a couple of closer pictures!
You are so organized Sara! I love your room and the baskets are fantastic! I'm so jealous you are on vacation! We have our Spring Break next week and I am counting down! :o)
I love your reading nooks and your ideas. I've just started teaching second grade this year after a long time teaching year 5 and 6. I am loving the inspiration I gain from your blog and other 2nd grade teacher's blogs too. Take Care Belinda from Sydney, Australia
You can see all the hard work that has gone into your beautiful classroom library! I too pick up books that are withdrawn from collection at local libraries! Fluency is such an important part in a child journey to read. Winning your pack would be the icing on the cake! Renate renate.schultz@gmail.com
Having the classroom library organized really helps. I am new to 2nd grade this year and I am still accumulating books, so my bins aren't so full yet. Hopefully after a few years :)
y'know my own Grade Three teacher gave us all numbers. I had not thought of doing that right now, but I can see that it makes it very easy to reuse your materials every year. Hmmmm Maybe next year. Sandra
Your library looks great!
