1. I'm working on painting my mailbox for a Social Studies unit. I hope the kids love it as much as I do! I'll post a completed picture when I am all done ( and share the unit too!)
2. It was week 1 of boot camp at school. Thought I was going to die, but fared much better than I anticipated! It was a lot of fun working out with my colleagues and I felt great afterwards!
3. I've been studying this book all week. Next week I start my own version of The Daily 5. I'll let you know how it goes!
4. We did a "Me On the Map" project in Social Studies today, courtesy of The Clutter-Free Classroom. More details to come this weekend!
5. Oh, and driving to school on Wednesday was not fun.
So jealous of the snow! Good luck with D5. Let me know if you need anything. I do my own version too :)

Kickin’ it in Kindergarten
Hi Sara! I LOVE your mailbox. Where did you find it? I read The Daily 5 over Winter Break and really enjoyed it. I cannot wait to implement next year :)

Sara! I started Daily 5 in August and I absolutely love it. I've stuck with it since then and my Reading MAP scores have grown!! Best of luck to you.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your cute blog!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the Daily 5! I started MY version of it last January and haven't turned back! You'll love it! My advice to you: Do what is best for your kids and what works well for ya'll and it will work out PERFECTLY! :)

Primary Polka Dots
I did a boot camp earlier this year. I LOVED it. I didn't love getting up at 4:30 to go though. :/ I really need to get back to it.

Extra Special Teaching
I do my own version on Daily 5 as well. Let me know if you need anything! It was calling for snow in the South, but it didn't come. Schools are closed down here when snow is in the air. I wouldn't know how to drive in real snow!

The 2nd Grade Surprise
That snow doesn't look like much fun. I guess I will quit complaining about the weather in California.
